Health Services Manager, Clara Barton Camp, North Oxford, MA

The Barton Center for Diabetes Education, Inc. (a.k.a. Clara Barton Camp) is a leader in  providing year-round programs to children with insulin-dependent diabetes and their families.  Summer: an 8-week residential camp for girls, a 1-week family camp, and seven 1-week co-ed day camps.  Fall/winter/spring: one weekend or vacation program per month.  The Health Services Manager is responsible for all health-related aspects of our programs. 

Requirements: RN, clinical experience in pediatrics/school/community nursing, leadership/supervisory experience, organized, team player.  Ability to relate to individuals of all ages in a close, personal, and educational setting.  Preference given for: BSN, familiarity with diabetes, certified diabetes educator or CDE eligible, camp experience. 

Responsibilities: Clinical care of campers, administration (health policies, procedures, regulations, supplies, budgets, etc.), recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of summer staff nurses and volunteers, communication with campers and parents, liaison with program and medical advisory committees.  Year-round position, full-time (part-time considered); residential housing is possible; competitive salary and benefits.
