School Program Instructor, Boston University Sargent Center for Outdoor Education, Peterborough NH Boston University Sargent Center for Outdoor Education, near Peterborough NH, is a leader in the field of outdoor education for over 60 years. Sargent Center provides environmental and adventure based programs for schools, colleges, and professional groups. Responsibilities: Instruct groups of 10-12 students (5th-8th grades) in all aspects of environmental education, outdoor skills, and adventure initiatives, including a high ropes course. Qualifications: Minimum age 18, 21+ preferred, college degree in related field preferred, self-motivated, experience working with children, strong communication skills, comfortable working long hours outdoors, and comfortable living and working closely with others. First Aid and CPR certifications required. Small Craft Instructor or Lifeguard desired. Benefits: Stipend of $225/week plus room and board, opportunity to earn extra $$ on the weekends, and occasional weeknight supervision of students ($40/night), health and accident insurance assistance and internet access provided.
