Associate Visitor Training (AVT) (NOW ONLY ONE NIGHT, $25.00)
The ACA visitor is one of the most important elements of the accreditation process. Anyone is welcome to apply, but applicants must be members of ACA, be current in their standards training, and be approved by the section. (We will take into consideration camp experience, maturity and judgment.)
Completion of the Associate Visitor Training Course is a step on the road to becoming an Associate Visitor. Following this training, each candidate, with the assistance of the Instructors, will evaluate his/her skills and readiness to determine what the next step in the Visitor training process will be.
New Associate Visitors will then join our New England Mentor program and will accompany a number of experienced Visitors to observe a variety of different camps. This experience will provide each Associate Visitor with an opportunity to grow professionally and contribute in a valuable and meaningful way.
